AdRoll is mostly known as a retargeting tool, but in reality, it is only a tiny fraction of the full capabilities of this platform. AdRoll allows creating cross-channel, e-mail marketing, and social media campaigns. It is also collecting data on all activities that you can then use to draw conclusions about their performance and increase the efficiency of your campaigns. Check how to start using AdRoll and see how the integration process looks like.
Let’s recap – what is AdRoll and why is it worth using it?
AdRoll is present on the market for over 10 years. During this time it evolved from an optimization retargeting platform to a powerful Big Data tool. With AdRoll you can build and launch campaigns on search engines, social media sites, and many other platforms. Moreover, AdRoll enables marketing automation and personalization based on collected data and gives many practical advices helpful in website optimization – the recommendations are created by AI algorithms that analyze how users interact with your website. In effect, it’s a multifunctional tool that can be used both in small and large e-commerce companies.
How to integrate an internet store with AdRoll. Will I need an XML file?
Integration with AdRoll could look differently depending on the services you choose.
In the first place you have to integrate AdRoll with your store’s website, by adding the AdRoll pixel code to your website’s source code. You can do that using Google Tag Manager or AdRoll interface (automatic integration is possible only if you use Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento, or WooCommerce). If none of these methods work, you can add pixel code manually, by appending it to HTML body section.
If you plan to use AdRoll to lead dynamic campaigns, you have to upload your product file in TXT, CSV, or XML format. The product file should be adapted to AdRoll requirements. Following attributes are mandatory:
- Product ID.
- Images URL.
- URL leading to a landing page with the offer.
There are also optional attributes like product description, tags, category, discount details, attributes describing how the product looks like etc. Of course, all data should be updated regularly.
No doubt, this whole process will be much easier with Feedink. Our tool will take care of streamlined integration and automatic updates.
