How to integrate an internet store with AdRoll. Will I need an XML file?

Integration with AdRoll could look differently depending on the services you choose.

In the first place you have to integrate AdRoll with your store’s website, by adding the AdRoll pixel code to your website’s source code. You can do that using Google Tag Manager or AdRoll interface (automatic integration is possible only if you use Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento, or WooCommerce). If none of these methods work, you can add pixel code manually, by appending it to HTML body section.

If you plan to use AdRoll to lead dynamic campaigns, you have to upload your product file in TXT, CSV, or XML format. The product file should be adapted to AdRoll requirements. Following attributes are mandatory:

  • Product ID.
  • Name.
  • Images URL.
  • URL leading to a landing page with the offer.
  • Price.

There are also optional attributes like product description, tags, category, discount details, attributes describing how the product looks like etc. Of course, all data should be updated regularly.
